Harken MKIV Furling Systems are built for longevity, ease of use and simplicity of installation. They are strong, light weight, and aerodynamic for racing and performance cruising sailors. Featuring a twin-groove foil and smooth feeder for fast hoists, douses, and sail changes. The large diameter drum provides increased mechanical advantage and can be easily removed for use with racing sails, providing the longest possible luff length. The free spinning halyard and independent tack swivels provide superior sail shape while reefed. High strength foil joints can be installed without cutting the headstay. The line guard, torque tube and swivels are deep-saturation hardcoat-anodized, and UV stabilized for durability. Furling line included with Units 0, 1, & 2. MKIV furlers come standard with black anodized foils.

Harken MKIV Ocean Furling Systems offers many of the same features as the MKIV but is specifically configured for the cruising sailor. It is engineered with strength, longevity, ease of use, and at the right price; without extra features cruisers might not need. The clear-anodized foils are round and precision-extruded with a single luff groove for smooth sail handling. C-shaped open foil connectors are easily installed without cutting the headstay. Like the MKIV, the line guard, torque tube, and halyard swivel are deep-saturation hardcoat-anodized, and UV stabilized for durability. The aluminum drum, fixed tack and simplified halyard swivel provide a more economical system without sacrificing strength. Furling line included with Units 0, 1, & 2.
